In IE 11, I have gone into the Control Panel, Folder Options and searched for the Menu Bar, but have not found any way to bring back my Menu Bar. I have it in Google, Outlook and all other programs I have on my Computer, but I cannot get it in Internet Explorer. Hope You can Help.

You aren’t going to see an obvious menu bar for IE 11 or for the newer versions of any web browser. To access the functions you used to find on the menu bar, look to the far right of the page. You’ll see the home button, a star and a gear icon.

Clicking home will take you to your homepage. Choosing the star icon will give you options for Favorites, Feeds & History.

Clicking the gear gives you the options to print, zoom and save along with other common settings functions.

To get the menu bar back to to a blank spot at the top of your browser and right-click. Click on Menu Bar to put a check beside it.

Your menu bar will return.

IE isn’t the only browser that’s said goodbye to a menu bar.  You’ll find your options for Google Chrome under a menu icon in the upper right of the page.

Firefox options are now also found on the right.

Why the change away from menu bars? It’s due partly to the increase in mobile devices. The makers of browsers want the experience to be the same no matter which device you are viewing it on. A menu bar would be somewhat difficult to use with most mobile devices.
