There are lots of ways to keep up with all of the latest happenings in the world of Android –XDA Developers Forum is a well-established community of mobile developers and fans and, following a site redesign, there's a new dedicated Android app to try out. XDA One is currently in alpha but provides a convenient way to participate in the forums from your Android smartphone or tablet.
The app has – perhaps unsurprisingly – been developed entirely in-house, and it has been released as an open source project so anyone with the necessary expertise can make a contribution to its future. Of course, you are no obliged to develop the app in any way, you are more than welcome to just use it. XDA One is available as a free download, but you'll need to ensure that you have enabled the installation of apps from unknown sources.
As this is only an alpha release, it's very early days for XDA One, but things are already shaping up well. If you're looking to keep in touch with people interested in ROMs and phone modding, the new forum app is well worth a look. You can browse through the forum without creating an XDA account, but if you do sign in you will be able
Have you tried out XDA One? What do you think of the app?
