You can head on over to the Windows 8.1 compatibility center and search your printer by model number. Lucky for me, mine was compatible.

Then it was time to head over to the HP site and find the driver and select my operating system, then download and install.

If it turns out that your printer isn’t compatible with Windows 8.1, unfortunately it may be time for a new printer. But first, make sure to check with support for your printer’s manufacturer because new drivers may be available.
