Recently, we posted an article about turning off Autoplay on Facebook using iOS devices to avoid hefty charges on your mobile bill. Here are the directions for doing the same on an Android device.

First, go to your Facebook settings by hitting the menu button. Then, scroll all the way down until you see the Help and Settings section. Tap on App Settings.

Look for Video Auto Play, and tap on it.

Then you’ll get a menu that gives you three choices: On, Wi-fi only, or Off.

If you never want the videos to auto play, choose off. If you only want the videos to play when you are connected to a Wi-fi network, and save your data plan, tap Wi-fi only. If you always want to see the video, whether you are using Wi-fi or your 3G/4G connection, tap on. It is set to On by default, which means if you are not connected to any other networks, you’ll be using up your data plan pretty quickly.
