Google's awesome new email experiment, Inbox by Gmail, started out as an invite-only affair. Feeling very priviliged, I lauded it over my colleagues but was kind enough to break down the majorfeatures of Inbox by Gmail for the unlucky waiting list (what us insiders were calling ''waiters''). All the while fending off the jealous hordes that wanted their own invitation and were annoyed that I didn't have any to share.

The exclusive Inbox by Gmail party has now been opened to everyone.
Well, my superiority complex has been officially dashed because Google has now started issuing invitations en masse to everyone that requested an invite in the last couple of days. At first we had worried this could turn out to be a painfully weird process like OnePlus' invite system, but it was more than likely to allow some time to ramp up the Google servers and manage the demand. So to have a free-for-all on the second day is a nice surprise. Unless you're one of the not-so-chosen-anymore.
If you haven't yet requested an invitation to Inbox by Gmail, then send an email toinbox@google.com and ask away. Your response should be pretty rapid and as soon as you have the invitation email the app will work for you. You can then rub it in your smug friends' faces when they are no longer the coolest kids in school. Kind of like my colleagues are doing to me right now. Welcome to the party.
Are you using Inbox by Gmail? What do you think of what it offers?
