1.Open the Control Panel
2.Click on the Network and Sharing Center
3.From here you can set whether the computer is on  Home or Work network, The Local Area Connection settings (IP address for example), VPN Connection etc.
4.On the top left, click on Advanced sharing settings
5.From here you change change general settings for how sharing is enabled or disabled
6.Scroll down to All Networks. Decide whether you want to turn on or off Password Protected sharing
Sharing  Folders
1.From the Windows Explorer, right click on the folder you want to share and select Properties. In the following example it is the entire D: drive
2.Click on the Sharing tab
3.Click on the Advanced Sharing button
4.Click to Share this folder  and give it a share name
5.Click on the Permissions button
6.Check the permissions you want users to have
6.Then click Apply, OK, Apply, Ok, Close
7.Using the Net Share command from a CMD prompt, you can see that I've shared both the D: drive and Photos folders
