If you use the digital photo editing and sharing site Instagram, you could have thousands of photos stored on their servers. But what happens if you get locked out of your account or Instagram goes out of business? Or maybe you’d just like to make sure you have copies of your photographic masterpieces to share with people who don’t use Instagram.
Well, there’s a free and simple way to save all of your Instagram photos to your computer’s hard drive. First, you’ll need to open a browser and got to Instaport and log onto your Instagram account.
Then choose your export options. You can select all of your photos or just a certain number. You can sort by date or by hashtag and also choose to download photos by others that you liked. There’s a beta option to include videos as well.
The download can take a few minutes.
When it’s done you’ll have the option to donate and download. The donation is optional, you can just select download.
Then the download will start. This can also take a few minutes. You’ll end up with a zipped file full of JPG images that you can move to another file.
Now you’ll have your photos available on and off line. You can also use them in documents or for other photo projects.
