I have just bought a new computer and I have changed my Gmail address. Also I have a password to use with my new Gmail.  Under my old Gmail, i have a lot of ,megabites that i need transfered to my new e-mail address. I believe there is something like 2000 mb LEFT on my old address. So how do I get this done?

Vivian.  Just because you have a new computer, you don’t need to change your e-mail address.  You can still just log on and access your mail from the new computer. That being said, you may have valid reasons for wanting to change from one Gmail account to a new one. So let’s look at how to transfer mail from one Gmail account to another.

Log into the old address and choose settings.

Under the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, select POP Download and tick the box beside Enable POP for all mail.

Now, log onto your new e-mail address and choose settings again.

This time select the Accounts tab,  go to Check mail from other accounts and click on Add a POP3 mail account you own.

Type in your old e-mail address and choose Next Step.

Type in your password and decide if you want to leave a copy of the message on the server. You can also choose to have those messages immediately archived instead of coming in to your inbox.

Click import and the process will begin. If you have a lot of messages, this could take a very long time.

Cynthia
