I’ve got a tip, I think a lot of you are going to LOVE. Judging by the number of questions I’ve see on the topic, one of your pet peeves about Windows 8 is having to sign in every time you turn on the computer.

In just a few easy steps, you can take care of that issue. But only do this if your computer is where other people aren’t going to be able to get their hands on it. If you have a laptop that you take out and about frequently or a work computer with private information or just a roomie who loves to snoop, I would leave the password requirement on.
First, search for netplwiz in your search charm or by typing it in the Metro/Modern screen.

Then click on the icon for Netplwiz.

The User Accounts window will open. Select the account you want to open without entering a password and then uncheck the box next to Users musts enter a username and password to use this computer. Then choose OK.

If your account is password protected, you’ll have to enter the password, confirm it and hit OK.

Restart your tablet  and it should go straight to your start screen. Now this change won’t affect, your tablet going to a lockscreen if you let it sit unattended too long.
