Basically, this tweak will modify the Android file system that is used by Android to connect to the Internet. The file contains a TCP / IP configuration used for the interchange of data and by modifying this configuration, we can change the way our device connects to networks. With this change, depending on the device and the mobile network used, you could expect to see an increase in download and upload speeds while on Wi-Fi, 3G, and even 4G connections.</div>

While the app in question that we can use does have a procedure that will work without root, there’s no guarantee that it will work as well the rooted method.</li>

We tested some popular apps that let you do this - Connectify and Virtual Router Plus. The latter didn't work very well for us. Our anti-virus flagged it as a threat and during installation it tried to make us install unwanted software.</div>
